Mystery Shopper - Perform your task to the best of your ability - by Ethan Hunter
Perform your task to the best of your ability (get information, make the purchase, enjoy the show, stay, meal, shopping, ask questions, make the complaint, observe behavior, evaluate the store employee to see if they do their job correctly etc.
Complete your mystery assignment in full in the moment, in person, on location, or online, via the phone
Record, report and enter the data as agreed upon and provide it for/to the mystery shopping company, recruiter or client (if directly involved with them).
Be as details and descript, clear and concise as you can be AND REMEMBER STICK TO THE FACTS and what was asked of you for the best results and possible callbacks.
Be reliable and honest in what you report and say (and/or leave out).
Always keep, get proof that you actually were at the location, with a receipt, usually.
Scan or fax, upload, ref. number etc. and complete the final steps of your activity.
It may take several weeks prior to you receiving your payment
How payments are processed will also vary. There are different methods of payment. Each and every provider, client might have a different channel and format, timeline and requirements in this department. See your agreement/contract, hiring specifications for more details READ THE FINE PRINT!
· Automatic payments into your checking account or savings account.
· Electronic funds transfer
· Check payments
· Still others will pay through Paypal
· Credits, vouchers, discounts, coupons
· By mail/courier
· Some may use one, many, some or all of the above as options.
As to earnings potential and possibly the amount you could make in a week, month, quarter, year IT IS TOTALLY UP TO YOU!
Your own capability, motivation, discipline, incentive and activity how many Mystery Shopper activities per day, per week, per month, how many, how diverse your client base is and how much they are willing to pay you for every assignment
If you are hired directly or through a third party provider, if you are sub-contracted, they will also take their cut, commission and other admin, registration fees etc.
· You can get a standard fee , base, per hour or per assignment type remuneration or payment (minimum wage) for example.
· Store credits and reimbursement, where you front the cash for purchase to get your money back. You then get paid up to a certain amount and the rest is seen as your reward, the meal, the goods, the service etc.
· Bonuses might be offer for locations that are far away for most to travel to, not mainstream or requires certain expertise, or that it has to be done expeditiously and quickly, without error and accurately, insured service by a professional Mystery Shopper shopper, guest or secret customer intelligence representative LIKE YOU! Extra amounts might be more readily available in these categories.
Always confirm the exact amount that you can expect upon completion of your task to the last dollar and cent. Get it in writing if you prefer to be and play it safest. Always read and study the recruiting and assignment, contract and all paperwork and the details of the shopping activity before agreeing to and/or signing anything! Set yourself up for success, not failure or disappointment. If you do work with clients directly, it is better too, for then you are not put at the mercy of someone else. It is sometimes safer in the beginning to work through and with affiliates, until you are well established in your own right. What, how and when you will be paid DOES MATTER! GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND DO NOT GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, OR FOR A RIDE BY ANYONE IN THIS DEPARTMENT!
