Every store, client, scenario and event will be different, requiring different skill-sets and tools. There are standards tools, channels, procedures and protocols that many help you with this, also in your Mystery Shopper business, regardless of the cycle you are in.
· Access to the internet and the world of virtual, online business. Both applications, even getting the word out, securing new opportunities and getting help and information to grow your business needs you to be connected and informed. Secure and reliable access and availability are key to enact and execute your business.
· Timing devices, not just a watch, but some timer with seconds, minute indicators for example. Especially if you are evaluating an employee or performance aspects.
· Tools of the trade and business essentials, office supplies, printer and software. Always take additional care not to have any notes, assignment sheets, report templates etc. or anything that can identify you as a mystery shopper and give away your identity, even that tell-tale notebook NOT present on your person, when showing up on location.
· Access to a printer, fax, scanner for reporting purposes, capturing, inputting data, proof of purchase etc. are also needed.
· Spreadsheet solutions software, database contact recording, relationship management software can all be utilized to track the performance and activity as well as clientele of your Mystery Shopper business.
· Accounting software, organization plans and systems to keep everything in order and within easy reach.
Other equipment might be helpful as well, voice-recorder, digital camera, transportation, to get you started and on a good track. |
